Sian Gibson is co-writer and co-lead of Bafta and NTA award winning BBC1 sitcom Car Share, alongside Peter Kay. Car Share became the highest-rated new sitcom to premiere on any channel since 2011. The opening episode was watched by 6.85 million people while another 2.5 million viewed it on BBC iPlayer. Sian is also Bafta nominated for her performance in the show, playing lovable supermarket worker, Kayleigh Kitson. Series 2 premiered on BBC1 in April 2017.

Sian starred alongside Jonny Vegas in UKTV Gold’s original single comedy-drama Murder On The Blackpool Express which became the highest-rated show ever to air on the channel. She also guest starred in BBC1’s sitcom Hospital People with other cameos including Russell Brand and Sally Phillips. Upcoming projects for Sian in 2018 include leading roles in Romesh Ranganathan’s new Sky 1 sitcom The Reluctant Landlord. She will also have guest roles in BBC1’s Death In Paradise, BBC2’s Inside No.9 and will be returning to BBC2's The League of Gentlemen. ..

Sian also starred alongside Tom Hollander in BBC Radio 4’s four part drama series School Drama, and Catherine Tate in one off UKTV Gold comedy, Do Not Disturb, directed by Nigel Cole (Calendar Girls and Made in Dagenham).

As a frequent collaborator with Peter Kay, Sian has appeared in Channel 4’s That Peter Kay Thing, Phoenix Nights and Britain's Got The Pop Factor and has most recently helped Peter raise money for Cancer Research UK by taking part in Dance-a-Thon parties in arenas around the the country for Peter Kay’s Dance For Life.

Sian currently lives in Flintshire with her husband and young daughter.
