AJ Odudu is currently filming The Voice UK & The Voice Kids UK as their new digital host for ITV which airs weekly. She also presents a live, weekly TV show called Trending Live which is the biggest entertainment show across the Boxplus network, 4Music. Recently, AJ fronted her own Channel 4 documentary called, Manhunting With My Mum, she has hosted her own fitness features on ITV’s This Morning and is currently part of The Evening Standard’s expert team of fitness Insiders.
Previously, AJ co-hosted the legendary Channel 5 TV show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side alongside Rylan Clark and is a regular presenter on award winning Podcast series Boys Don’t Cry with Russell Kane. AJ's first major documentary, Manhunting With My Mum aired in 2018 on Channel 4 to critical acclaim – the show trended worldwide on Twitter and showed off AJ’s playful side, highlighting her ability to dig deep into a subject matter and her endearing relationship with her mother, whilst exploring marriage and cultural identity. The show’s success led to candid interviews on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 5Live, ITV and features in the Independent, Evening Standard and the Financial Times. Shortly after, she was announced as the brand new backstage reporter for ITV’s The Voice where she can be seen from Blind Auditions to the Final, giving exclusive chats with Coaches Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Will.I.Am and Olly Murs as she finds her way around her new home at The Voice UK studios.
Born to Nigerian parents, AJ grew up with her five brothers and two sisters in Blackburn, Lancashire and has a degree in English & Politics. She has since become an informed voice on all things popular culture, having a string of music and entertainment shows to her name; including presenting BBC Two’s flagship Saturday morning music chat show The 5:19 Show for 2 years.
She has reported live from the Isle of Wight Festival alongside Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball for Sky Arts; hosted red carpet coverage at the MOBO Awards for MTV and ITV, fronted coverage of BBC Switch Live from the Hammersmith Apollo for BBC One and she even co-hosted That Saturday Show on Virgin Radio with Russell Kane.
A qualified personal trainer and sports nutritionist, AJ has a huge passion for health and fitness which has lead her to not only present fitness features on live TV but run the London Marathon, and also seen her front campaigns for Adidas; New Balance, Women’s Health, Speedo, Smart Water and many more. She is also a fitness ambassador for Superdrug nationwide.
AJ is a well-established live event host and DJ, having spun for Ibiza Rocks, Century Members Club and warmed up for world famous DJ, Oliver Heldens at Sushi Samba. Most recently, she has played for Adidas, New Look, EE Rising Star Party, Women’s Health Fashion night out and for Desperados at Boomtown Festival.
AJ has been one of the faces for L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation for three consecutive years and is a proud ambassador of L'Oreal Paris partnership with The Prince's Trust, hosting All Worth It confidence training programmes across the UK.
Online, AJ has impressive clout with her popular self-titled award winning blog, YouTube channel, Twitter and Instagram where she posts a range of lively fashion and fitness related content, amassing 545,000 views and counting.
